Merry Christmas

It finally stopped snowing..so bonus. After they had to close all interstates and everybody's christmas eve plans had to be cancelled because of it.

Glitter Christmas Image
I take back my last post

It's not snow it's a blizzard. And it's steadily not becoming exciting anymore. My backdoor is now snowed shut and there's snow all the way to my front door. You have to go out the garage just to get outside.

It's snowing here

And so close to Christmas too. It hasn't snowed here this close to Christmas in a long time. We've had rain, ice, and tornados on Christmas but not snow for a long time. I'm kinda excited about it. Except it's snowing so bad that the city is closing down the turnpikes so my sister's plans to spend today with her boyfried's family is cancelled. I tried to take pictures but my camera died as soon as I walked outside (something I had been trying to avoid) so I'll try to get pictures later.

Christmas stuff

Since my sister will be off doing girlfriend stuff with her boyfriends family I gave my gifts to them early this year. Anyways my nephew Caleb (and Zacky since he's into anything his big brother is into) is real big into stuff like make believe so I bought each one a styrofoam (safer with Caleb) sword. Caleb and my little brother ran around the house for an hour and a half playing cowardly knight and ruthless pirate. Caleb was so into it and his face was bright red from laughing so hard and he was running around squinting one eye closed saying arghh I'm a pirate. I wish I had brought my camera so I could've got a video of it because it was probably the cutest thing ever.

My sister wound up getting me a journal (because I'm obsessed with them either virtual or not) and a really goofy glittery pen. It's almost embarrassing the amount of journals I have tucked away in my closet.

My mother-in-law..the super religious one who hates me because I don't believe in god actually bought me a present this year. I was joking around about it with my step-son..who she also hates because he's gay who also got a book called Can You Be Christian and Gay..talking about how it's probably a jesus book because that's what she usually gets me and he told me it's in a box and not heavy enough to be a book. He thinks it's clothes and my first thought was it's a skirt (she doesn't wear pants) that's gonna go way past my feet. Apparently though my step-daughter picked it out and she knows I don't wear skirts so I'm not too worried about it.

The Dallas Academy girls basketball team finally (after sucking for so long) won a game

I will never respect or feel sympathy for these whiners. I know that's really harsh but I'm one of the ones who actually was proud of the Covenant team for winning and thought what happened to them and coach Grimes was shit. It's not the other girls fault you sucked so bad. So excuse me for not feeling the respect when it wasn't felt towards actual winners. Don't you think you got enough sympathy with all the whining and crying over your last big giant epic failure?

Three fic recs

Christmas Special by freakn_out. 2,000 words, Jared/Jensen/Misha, bottom!Jared, NC-17
The boys have some fun on Christmas. Role-playing, (minor dub-con), threesome, dub-pen, hotness, Hiding his flushed face against the cool skin of Jensen's neck, Jared let out a soft whimper. The stimulation was just too much.

As We Should Be by Charlotte and Miss. Brie is a multi-chaptered au Sam/Dean fic with lots of angst.
It's been years since Sam and Dean have seen each other; a fight that separated them unresolved. But eight years later, Dean shows up on Sam's doorstep with a child in tow and a case he needs his brother's help on.

And finally since I've been on a Covenant fic kick as of late I have for you a crossover fic between Buffy/The Covenant. Covenant of Wolves by FaithUnbreakable. Slash and het lovers alike should be satisfied with this story though it has no "official" pairings. Chase lovers will also be happy with this story.
Covenant means family, means friends, means dying for each other. Buffy knows that. Always has.

I love my games and I have been known to suffer withdrawal like symptoms after being away from my videogames for extended periods of time but even I think this might be a bit crazy. I've heard of in game marriages but never something like this. Dude must be dedicated to his gamer girlfriend.

Last night's Ep

I've been off reading an actual book for a change. Since my step-son has been bugging me to read the Eragon/Eldest 2-in-1 that's the one I'm reading. So now ALL my spare time is spent reading. He's trying to talk me into reading the Twilight series next but I'm not to sure on that yet. I've heard a lot of good and bad about the books and movie. I couldn't even watch it. Of course I hated the Harry Potter movies but absolutely loved the books. Maybe if I can get him to read the Smoke Series by Tanya Huff then I will.

I think this is one of my favorite episodes. This is another one of those eps where I watched while covering my eyes and laughing.

1. I love old guy Dean. He's so cute and the maid was totally right. He is adorable.
2. The Bobby scenes made me wanna cry.
3. The interaction between old guy Dean and Bobby made me laugh my ass off.
4. Sam's reference to Grumpy Old Men was classic and should be repeated frequently.
5. Can I just say that Sam was really sexy during that poker game. I swear that boy gets better looking with every episode that comes.
6. And oh yeah..."The Clap"..hilarious stuff.
7. That accent killed me. Sexxxy!
8. Booster shot!! Nuff said.

Of course I'm gonna have to watch it agian since my husband chose the time while SPN was on to come in the room and measure for a shelf that he's making then hanging on the wall for my computer. Annoying little man.

Mini updates

We've been painting our whole house and we ran into a few slight problems that have caused me to pull my hair out.

At the age of 17 months my nephew has just started walking. I love his little wobble to pieces.

The Star Wars Orchestra is coming to the Ford Center and I totally want to get tickets but I already have plans for that day.

I'm making it a point to get tickets for the Trans Siberian Orchestra in December.

I can't wait to see Sam in sunglasses and the suit. They almost reminded me of the Men In Black only not with the aliens but with the supernatural. It was really hot.

SPN 2x06

I have a few tings to say about last night's episode. THose of you who are looking to stay clear of wanky posts should be fine here since what I have to say is positive..I hope.

Last night's ep was awesome. I was really really happy with it. I think the writer's did a great job and it's definitely on my list of favorite eps.

I liked Dean's interaction with himself. You could really tell the difference between the two. Past Dean still had an innocence that new Dean definitely lost.

I've seen a few posts about how people think that Dean's only hunting with Sam again to watch him just in case. That he'd really rather be hunting by himself still. I don't think so. I think past Dean learned from the future that Sam is pretty much the only thing left. And yeah some part of Dean probably did join back up with Sam to watch but I think it's more because he loves Sam than he's worrited that Sam's gonna turn. If Sam's got someone on his side then he's less likely to do it.

I love Castiel. The only thing that would have been greater was if he'd still had his power. That could've been a real special orgy. Castiel is very very beautiful.

Dean's panty kink wasn't something that came as a surprise to me. That boy just comes off as a freak. But we all already knew that.

So yeah I think that was pretty unwankish. I wish everybody had enjoyed this episode as much as I did.

I'm watching Evolution and it's making me miss the days of David as Mulder.

Still sick and still wish I was asleep instead of awake.

4 ipod memes (meaning to much time)

I'm sick and I have nothing better to do than waste my and your time. I wish I was in bed right now getting over this hacking cough, sneezing, and stuffy/runny nose but my head has other ideas and refuses to let me sleep. So instead it forced me to do multiple ipod memes.

1.Using the shuffle feature on your iPod (or other MP3 player), write down the first 10 songs that play.
2.Don't skip songs to find something better. If it pops up, it's in the 10
3.Justify, defend or explain why those songs are on your iPod.

What a Wonderful World by Joey Ramone
I just really like this version of the song. Plus it's Joey Ramone

Vanilla by Gackt
It's j-pop and I have a huge thing for anything Japanese.

Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold
My favoritest band in the whole world so I'm bound to have their music on my ipod.

Beneath a Black Sky (live) by Six Feet Under
It reminds me of a better time in my life.

Jet Pilot by System of a Down
Doesn't really need an explanation.

Otherworld by Junya Nakano
It's from the Final Fantasy X soundtrack and I'm pretty much down with anything involving FF.

Return to Innocence by Enigma
It's a very relaxing song and everytime I listen to it I'm reminded of the Magnificent Seven fandom.

Inner Universe by Yoko Kanno
Ghost in the Shell baby!!

Revolution by Judas Priest
Classic Supernatural song for me.

The Crimson by Atreyu
This is actually my favorite type of music. I can't get enough.

If your life were a soundtrack, what would the music be?

Here’s how it works:
1. open your library (iTunes, winamp, media player, iPod)
2. put it on shuffle
3. press play
4. for every section, type the song that’s playing
5. next section — press the next button
6. don’t lie and try to pretend you’re cool

opening credits:

The Ripper by Judas Priest

waking up:

I Don't Care by Apocalyptica (This is exactly how I feel when I wake up.)

first day at school:

Blades of Glory by Bo Bice

falling in love:

Fade to Black by Metallica

breaking up:

Swing by Savage (Perfect breakup song I guess.)

prom:

Burning For You by Blue Oyster Cult

life’s okay:

mOBSCENE by Marilyn Manson

mental breakdown:

Everything I've Known by Korn (I promise I did not cheat!)

driving:

Silenced by Mudvayne

flashback:

SOS by Rihanna

getting back together:

The God That Failed by Metallica

wedding:

Scars by Papa Roach

birth of child:

The Beautiful People by Marilyn Manson

final battle:

I Don't Like the Drugs by Marilyn Manson (Still not cheating!)

death scene:

Twisted Transistor by Korn

end credits:

The Crimson by Atreyu (What is it with this song always being the last on every ipod meme ever?)

Below are 10 questions.

1.Turn on your iPod/MP3 player and turn on shuffle mode.
2.Then, ask yourself the first question below.
3.Play the first song on the shuffle list and type the song title and artist as your answer under the question.
4.Explain or not.

How does the world see me?
A Little Piece of Heaven by Avenged Sevenfold
(That the world is trying to tell me I'm a necrophiliac?)

How will my future life be?
This is the New Shit by Marilyn Manson
(That there's a new me and I ain't playing.)

What should I do with my life?
What a Wonderful World by Joey Ramone
(Make things as happy as I can?)

How will I be remembered?
Note To Self by From First to Last
(I think I'll be missed terribly.)

What is my current theme song?
No One Like You by Scorpions
(There's absolutely no one like me. Though I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.)

What is my signature dance song?
To Be Loved by Papa Roach
(I'm very go-getter.)

What will be played at my funeral?
Without You by Motley Crue
(Without me people would...?)

What will my week be like?
We Roll by Ghost Style
(I'll be a very busy person.)

What is some good advice for me?
Master of Puppets by Metallica
(I should totally use all you people as my puppets.)

What did the world sing when I was born?
Chapter Four by Avenged Sevenfold
(I can't even explain this one.)

You can learn a lot about someone by the music they listen to. So here is the game! Hit shuffle on your ipod or mp3 player and write down the first 50 songs. No cheating or skipping songs that are shameful.
Supernatural 5x03 spoilers

I wonder if there's gonna be a new season of Dark Blue. I really enjoyed that show and the chemistry between Dean and Jaimie was awesome. Or even Dean's loyalty to Shaw.

Did anyone else find Dean's heart to heart with Castiel as "touching" as I did? Other than that I'm not touching this episode with a ten-foot pole.

Supernatural 5x2

There's not a whole lot that I want to say that will involve spoilers but just to be safe I'll put this under a cut.

Wouldn't it be totally awesome if Alanis Morissette turned out to be god? But then wouldn't that mean that Supernatural would be a little connected to the Askewniverse? I can kinda see Dean and Jay connecting and making Sam's and Silent Bob's life a living hell. Okay so maybe not a good idea. It'd be amusing as hell though.

This episode made me miss Highlander. It made me miss Methos who was a four horseman (though not of the apocolyse) and War at that.

I really liked last night's episode. Well, the ending not so much.

Trish Stratus RAW guest host

I was really really happy when I turned on RAW and they announced that Trish Stratus would be hosting that night. I was really happy to find out that she would be wrestling in a 6-way even though her partners were MVP and Mark Henry (two of my least fave ) and her opponents were Chris Jericho (who I love ROCK ON Mongoose McQueen), the Glamazon Beth Phoenix, and Big Show. Even better we got to see what the fans miss most..Stratusfaction. The show took place in her hometown of Toronto and you could tell that she's been missed since her retirement from the WWE. But hell the girl went out as the 7x Women's Champ. Can't wait to see what the next host is gonna do.

Well hello there 18th century

Who the hell even gets Scarlet Fever anymore? Well, I'll tell you who. A daycare full of rugrats that's who.

The daycare told my sister that the baby had thrush so she went out and bought some medicine. Didn't seem to help much. Zacky woke up one morning with a really puffy red eye. We thought maybe he had got bitten by a mosquito because he has really bad reactions to them. Then Caleb got a huge rash which is really normal for him since he's allergic to a lot of foods but we assumed the daycare might've gave him something.

Now all of these things separately don't automatically mean chaos but together they equal a trip to the doctors. The doctors told her that her kids had somehow caught Scarlet Fever. Zacky and Caleb got antibiotic shots but the baby is to small for it so they want to monitor her. They'll all be monitored for 10 days after.

What kills me about this is the daycare they caught it at..La Petite Academy. It's supposed to be the most renowned daycare here. Caleb went to another of their facilities and there was never any problem. This one however my sister has had problems with. The people at the hospital she talked with told her she had no choice but to report them. Else she could be charged with child neglect/abuse herself. So she called the child abuse hotline and they advised her that she not send her kids back there (DUH!!!) and that the matter will be looked into.

Caleb had his birthday party the 12th which was 2 days before we knew so we had to call everybody to let them know they might want to go get their kids and themselves checked.

Happy Birthday Caleb

So today is my nephew's 3rd birthday. That boy is growing up way to fast. This year I decided I'd let him pick out 1 of his own presents and he walked from toy isle to toy isle seriously checking out every toy they had and we were there for hours. There for awhile he was sure he wanted the little toy Dirt Devil vacuum (he's obsessed..I think cause he used to be terrified of them and now he's not). He finally decided on some big toy truck that makes noise. Ha..my sister is gonna hate my guts in a few days.

I was doing the whole wiki birthday thing for Caleb's birthday and noticed that today is also Jim Beaver's birthday. Happy Birthday Jim Beaver. Hope it's an excellent one.

My moms in town. I'm so happy. Since her kids are scattered all across the state she's going from city to city staying a few days with each. My oldest brother had his turn, my little bro had his turn and since it's Caleb's birthday it's Mindy's turn. We'd all get together at once but my sister and our 2 older brothers don't get along very well and it'd be really bad.

I totally didn't know until after I watched Fast & Furious that Don Omar actually plays in Fast & Furious..as Don. I've been obsessed (pattern?) with him since Tokyo Drift. And to show how much I don't pay attention (to anything but the Dom/Brian ness) Virtual Diva is the song that plays during the club scene. The one where Dom walks in and sees Brian playing pool. My favorite song! And I didn't even notice it.

Fast and the Furious

Just watched it for the first time and I gotta say I absolutely loved it. Thought it was gonna be all awkward between Dom and Brian but it really wasn't. If not for the few tense moments at the beginning you'd never think the whole Brian chasing Dom scene in the first movie had ever happened. I'm in denial but I will never stop holding out hope for Brian/Dom or even Brian/Rome.

Feel bad for Letty though. I'm not gonna be one of those ones that are all happy cause she died and now there's nothing *except Mia* to stand between Dom and Brian. I was actually sad that she died. Also sad that Han was in like 5 minutes of the movie and not more. It's a good thing I can get my fill of him by popping in my Tokyo Drift dvd and not be about that. And hey where's Vince and Leon? It just didn't seem right without those two.

It's my birthday

So today is my 27th birthday. My husband is being a super sweet dork. He waited for 12 to come so he could give me a birthday kiss and he keeps calling me birthday girl (I have a feeling he's gonna do that all day).

Since it's Tuesday we're not actually celebrating until the weekend. And since I'm sure it's gonna involve lots of drinking I've gotta go to the DMV to renew my id since I didn't realize that it expired until recently. Stupid me forgetting about things like that. At least I didn't lose it this time though.

And yay birthday meme. Go to Wikipedia and look up your birth day (excluding the year). List four facts, two births and one death, including the year. If your birth day is on a holiday, list what holidays there are as well.

Events
1265 – Second Barons' War: Battle of Evesham – the army of Prince Edward (future Edward I of England) defeats the forces of rebellious barons led by Simon de Montfort, 6th Earl of Leicester; killing de Montfort and many of his allies. This is sometimes considered the end of the age of chivalry in England.

1693 – Date traditionally ascribed to Dom Perignon's invention of Champagne.

1704 – War of the Spanish Succession: Gibraltar is captured by an English and Dutch fleet, commanded by Admiral Sir George Rooke and allied with Archduke Charles.

1854 – The Hinomaru is established as the official flag to be flown from Japanese ships.

Birthdays
1901 – Louis Armstrong, American jazz musician (d. 1971)

1955 – Billy Bob Thornton, American actor and writer

1961 – Barack Obama, 44th President of the United States

1971 – Jeff Gordon, American race car driver

Deaths
1900 – Isaac Levitan, Russian painter (b. 1860)

Holidays
Burkina Faso: Revolution Day
Cook Islands: Constitution Day
Slovakia: Matica Slovenská Day
Saint Sithney, patron saint of mad dogs
Saint John Vianney (Jean-Marie Vianney), parish priest, patron saint of priests

I did not know that we even had a state rock song but we in fact do and it's by The Flaming Lips. Wikipedia never fails to impress me with the vast amount of knowledge it holds.
